The world famous Alpha course is coming again to All Saints!

This is a course designed to help people understand the Christian faith and explore some of its central beliefs.

It is suitable for people who do not come to church, but who want to discuss the Christian faith in more detail than they normally have time for.

It is also suitable for churchgoers who want a "refresher" course or for people who are wishing to be confirmed. There is a Confirmation service later in the year and those who wish to be confirmed may be confirmed, using Alpha as their preparation for this.

What is Alpha about and who is it for?

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. People of all ages are welcome.
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know one another and to make new friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.
Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

Alpha is a really good course and we would recommend you buy the book “Questions of Life” by Nicky Gumbel. This contains the material for the talks in it, and it actually helps to both read and hear the talks. It is not a problem to read ahead as the subject matters are very thought provoking.
